Frequently Asked Questions
If your question isn't here, email hello@quintarthai.com.
The basics
Is Quintarthai a registered investment advisor or broker-dealer?
No. Quintessentia Network Inc. (operating as Quintarthai) is
not registered with the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), CIRO, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), or FINRA as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Dealer, Restricted Dealer, Exempt Market Dealer, broker-dealer, or investment adviser. Quintarthai is a research and information platform — nothing on the platform is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. See
Disclosures for the full statement.
What does Quintarthai actually do?
We pull regulatory data from SEDAR+ (Canada), EDGAR (US), and SEDI (Canadian insider filings) into a single search and analytics workflow. On top of that we run six AI/analytics engines (Quinn RAG assistant, Geo-LLM mining specialist, Delisting Risk Composite, Cross-Border FX-Adjusted Spread, VPIN Microstructure, RLHF retrieval reranker) plus deterministic compliance tools (Blue Sky checker, FTS calculator, warrant tracking). Detail on each engine:
AI Transparency.
Who is Quintarthai for?
Active retail investors, family offices, and small RIAs who research across Canadian and US markets. We're especially useful if you look at TSX/TSX-V juniors, dual-listed names, or Canadian mining tickers — territory most US-only tools (Koyfin, Atom Finance, Stockanalysis) ignore. See the
comparison.
Pricing & billing
What's free vs paid?
Core (free, no card): main dashboard, basic screeners, 10 Quinn queries/day, 10 tickers in your watchlist, basic delisting risk, limited cross-border arb, market data on NYSE/NASDAQ/TSX/TSX-V. Trader ($20/mo): the full /trading/ research SPA. Alpha ($79/mo): full main dashboard with insider analysis, full cross-border arb, compliance suite, 500 Quinn queries/day. Apex ($199/mo): everything in both Trader and Alpha, plus Scenario Engine and unlimited Quinn. Prime ($399/mo): API access, SLA, white-label reports.
Why are Trader and Alpha separate?
They serve different personas. Trader users want microstructure, signal research, and the live /trading/ console. Alpha users want fundamental research, screeners, insider analysis, compliance tools. If you want both, Apex bundles them at $199/mo — cheaper than $20+$79=$99 only if you also need Scenario Engine and unlimited Quinn. We're considering bundling Trader into Alpha in a later pricing iteration.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. One-click cancel from the dashboard. Annual plans get prorated refunds for the unused months. No dark patterns, no retention queue.
Is there a trial for Apex?
Yes — 14-day free trial on Apex. No card required to start the Core plan; card is needed to start the Apex trial so we can convert if you don't cancel.
Data & methodology
Where does the market data come from?
Live quotes from Yahoo Finance (delayed up to 15 minutes). SEC EDGAR XBRL ingest for US fundamentals + Form 4 insider trades. SEDAR+ scraping for Canadian filings. SEDI for Canadian insider filings. Federal Reserve, ECB, IMF for macro context. We disclose every source with the data and stamp the fetch time.
Are quotes real-time?
No. Quotes may be delayed up to 15 minutes. The platform is
not suitable for real-time trading decisions. The status of each data feed is shown live at
/status.
How does Quinn answer regulatory questions?
Quinn retrieves from a 404-chunk corpus across 13 jurisdictions (NI 43-101, S-K 1300, Reg D, NI 45-106, OSC/AMF/ASC/BCSC guidance, etc.) and grounds its answer in those passages. It will refuse to answer when retrieval similarity is below a threshold, and it will
not give specific buy/sell advice. Full architecture:
AI Transparency · Quinn.
Can the AI hallucinate?
Yes — large language models can produce plausible-sounding but incorrect statements. Always click through to the cited source before relying on a Quinn answer. We log retrieval confidence and refuse low-confidence queries, but the safety net isn't perfect.
Beta & roadmap
Why is Quintarthai labeled "Beta"?
Because the product surface is still moving fast. We ship to production weekly. Beta means the platform works, the data is live, paid plans are real — but you may see UI changes, new features appearing, or short maintenance windows. See
the public roadmap and
changelog.
What's coming next?
Q3 2026: analyst-consensus integration (Financial Modeling Prep), earnings-call transcripts + LLM summaries, screener expansion to 50+ filters, extended historical data to 10 years, weekly long-form blog. Q4 2026: TSX sector heatmap, native iOS/Android apps (gated on PWA install metrics). Live tracker:
/roadmap/.
What's NOT coming?
We will not chase: 120k-stock global coverage (Simply Wall St territory), India / APAC equities (different regulatory regime, dilutes our cross-border focus), full social network features, day-trading signal services. The roadmap explains the rationale.
Privacy & security
Where is my data stored?
Canadian-controlled infrastructure (Hostinger KVM operated by Quintessentia Network Inc., Niagara Falls, ON). Subject to PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25. See
Security and
Privacy Policy.
What about my broker CSV imports?
Imported holdings stay entirely in your browser's localStorage. They never touch our servers. The Portfolio page reads them locally; we have no copy. You can wipe the import any time by clicking “Reset to demo” on the Portfolio page or by clearing site data in your browser.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We don't sell user data, we don't run third-party trackers (no Facebook pixel, no GA4), and we don't opt in to any “use my queries to train your model” features with our LLM providers. Privacy details:
Privacy Policy.
