ETF and index screeners. In this guide: categories, Smart Search and filters, Shariah-mandate funds, and the Index Screener.

The ETF Screener, under Screen, starts with all the funds it covers, largest first, and the tiles sum up the funds on screen. Category buttons narrow the list to a theme, such as gold and silver, and a note says exactly what each category includes.

Or describe the funds you want in plain words, such as low cost bond ETFs, and press Enter.

Smart Search turns your words into filter chips: here, an expense ratio of 0.2% or less, and fixed income. A note lists any funds left out because data is missing.

Every filter is a chip you can edit, with presets beside them. Tabs above the table switch its columns: performance, risk, dividends, holdings and percentiles.

If you switch on Sharia screening, a Shariah filter appears here. It lists the funds whose own prospectus or registered name states a Shariah mandate. Company screens cannot mark a fund, so a fund that is not listed is not judged either way.

The Index Screener, also under Screen, lists major market indexes: North American, global, or all of them. Each row shows the level, the change and the region, and a gauge below explains what the VIX level means.
