Sharia screening. In this guide: switching it on, a quick screen, the gates behind a result, and six standards side by side.
Sharia screening is off by default. Once you switch it on in Quinn's research preferences, it has its own tab in the Screen menu, and Sharia filters appear in the screeners.
The tab checks one stock at a time against a published standard. Six are available, and AAOIFI is the default. The Methodology link explains each one's rules.
As the banner says, this is for education. Confirm compliance with your own qualified scholar or Sharia board.
Each screen runs three gates: sector, financial ratios and purification. Type a ticker, such as MSFT, and press Enter. The quick lookup row screens a few tickers with one click.
The result shows the overall outcome under the chosen standard. Below it come the gates: the sector check, then the debt and cash ratios against the standard's limits.
Choose another standard, and the same screen runs under its rules. Each one divides by a different measure, such as market value or total assets, so results can differ.
Compare runs it under all six standards side by side, with the measure each one divides by.
