Your desk: watchlists and dashboards. In this guide: your watchlist, adding a ticker, columns and lists, and dashboards.
Your saved lists and dashboards live under My Desk. Open it, and choose Watchlists.
Your watchlist keeps the companies you follow in one table: the price, the day's change, market cap, price to earnings, dividend yield, and where the price sits in its 52-week range.
Canadian listings show their price and market cap in Canadian dollars. Click a heading to sort the table, and click a ticker to open its research page.
The note under the table says where each figure comes from: quotes, delayed where the exchange requires, fundamentals updated nightly, and exchange rates at the Bank of Canada daily average.
To add a company, type its ticker in Add ticker, and click Add. You can add several at once, separated by commas or spaces. Here, Microsoft joins the list.
Columns chooses what the table shows, from quote fields to fundamentals and risk models. For the main watchlist, the choice is saved on this device.
New list starts another one: a watchlist, a portfolio with lots and profit and loss, or a model portfolio, where you set a weight for each name.
My Dashboards, also under My Desk, builds a page of linked widgets: lists, quotes, charts, news, earnings and market tables.
Choose New dashboard, give it a name, and start from a template: My overview, Portfolio desk or Macro desk. It is saved to your account.
Click a row in a list widget, and every linked widget follows that company. The layout is saved as you go.
