SEDAR+
SEDAR+ is Canada's official online system for filing and viewing public-company disclosures, the Canadian counterpart to US EDGAR.
What it is
SEDAR+ (System for Electronic Data Analysis and Retrieval +) is the platform Canadian securities regulators use to collect and publish issuer filings. It hosts financial statements, MD&A, annual information forms, prospectuses, and material change reports for companies reporting in Canada. It replaced the original SEDAR system in 2023 and is administered by the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA).
Why it matters
For Canadian and dual-listed companies, SEDAR+ is the primary source of record, just as EDGAR is in the US. Investors who only check US databases can miss disclosures filed solely in Canada. SEDAR+ access is free, which makes it a reliable place to verify Canadian filing data.
How it's calculated
Not a calculated metric; it is a public filing system operated by the Canadian Securities Administrators. Issuers submit documents electronically, and they become publicly viewable after filing.
How Quintarthai uses it
Quintarthai ingests Canadian disclosures from SEDAR+ so non-US names are fully covered and not paywalled, and dual-listed companies show the correct per-listing currency. See cross-border coverage for dual-listed names.
