Portfolio. In this guide: creating a portfolio, adding your lots, value and P&L, Canadian or U.S. dollars, and allocation by sector and currency.

Portfolio, under My Desk, values the holdings you enter. New portfolio opens a short form: a name, the type, a portfolio or a model portfolio, and a base currency, Canadian or U.S. dollars. Create saves it to your account.

This sample portfolio is already set up. Add each purchase with + Lot: the ticker, the number of shares, the cost per share, its currency and the trade date. A negative quantity records a sale. Save lot adds it to the table.

The cards add it up: market value, total P&L against your cost, the day's change, and how many quotes loaded. Quotes are delayed. Each row shows shares, average cost, market value, P&L, and weight. The arrow beside a ticker lists its lots, with their dates and costs.

Base switches the whole portfolio between Canadian and U.S. dollars, at the exchange rate shown on the first card.

Below, allocation shows how the portfolio splits by sector and by currency. Report opens a print-ready report. Import CSV reads the positions in a broker's export file, and you check them before you save.
